Meet the Team

The Shechem Team consists of members with years of experience in running successful programs for Conference Centers and in local churches. Other members have experience and education in their artistic field. Yet others have the business knowledge needed to help you with contracts and cost effectiveness. Most are trained educators and speakers. All have a passion for what God has called Shechem Ministries to do.

Cory Pepiton

While at OCC he wrote material for the summer children’s program for 5 years, trained and managed all summer staff, coordinated rental groups year-round, created and ran a men’s Wilderness Trek program as well as managed the food service and housekeeping departments. Cory’s also served with Sandy Cove Ministries in North East, MD, one of the premier conference centers in the Christian conferences arena, as Program Coordinator, managing Sandy Cove’s conferences for speakers including Josh McDowell and Tony Evans as well as working with artists Steve Green and Larnelle Harris. He’s been on staff with 3 churches and served at Lifeway’s Glorieta Conference Center as well. Cory has a BA in Communication Arts with a minor in Religion from Louisiana College and is completing his Master of Arts in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

God of Wonders. World of beauty created by a loving father. These are our birthright through Christ. To live in this wonder and celebrate this love, divine and undeserved. To kindle in my children this same desire to know God and awe in his presence. To stand in the mountains and know that while I am infinitely smaller my Father who loves me is the Creator. This is my passion.

Lori Pepiton

Lori Pepiton

lori@shechemministries.org

Lori has served by Cory’s side in most of his years in ministry in various roles. In Solgohachia, AR at Ozark Conference Center she was the Sales Representative responsible for all rental contracts and communications with those involved. In North East, MD at Sandy Cove she managed the Front Office which included ensuring smooth check-in and departure, accurate reservations were made in the call center and the switchboard and desk were operated 24 hours a day for excellent guest service. Currently Lori is the only paid staff member of Shechem Ministries and as such is responsible for all correspondence, financial matters and event preparation. She is also a full-time Mom to their boys, Aubry and Asher, and a partner in their church work. Lori holds a BS in Business Management/Marketing from Louisiana College.

I have a passion for families. I would love for more families to spend time together and enjoy it. For them to remember that they really do like each other. I also crave the opportunity to help families explore the gifts and skills God has given each family member from the youngest to the oldest. God put me here to offer families a way to do this – to laugh, to love, to learn, to rest.
