Damon Falke is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and St. John's College in Santa Fe, NM. Damon resides in Marshall, TX. His work has been widely featured in such publications as The Chattahoochee Review, Ruminate, Wisteria, and The Canyon Country Zephyr among others. Most recently, he has forthcoming poetry in Louisiana Literature. He collaborated with Rebekah Wilkins-Pepiton on the 2007 Shechem Press release Broken Cycles.
Kevin Meaux was born in Kaplan, Louisiana, and is now
teaching at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. His writing has
received numerous awards, including a Ruth Lilly Fellowship as well
as a Louisiana Division of the Arts Artist Fellowship. His poems have
appeared in such journals as The Southern Review, Poetry, Prairie
Schooner and Shenandoah. His book, Myths of Electricity, was
published in 2005.
Beka is a visual artist and an educator. Currently, she teaches visual art at Pagosa Springs High School where she has developed Pagosa's Fine Arts Magnet Academy (FAMA), an interdisciplinary honors art program for 9th-12th grade students. She also works as a freelance photographer and designer. Her chief media include printmaking, mixed media, and photography. Through her work, Beka seeks to speak to our connectivity as human beings and our collective search for community, identity, and home. Her most recent book, Broken Cycles (Shechem Press, 2007), is a collaboration between poetry and the photographic image. Beka's work has been shown at galleries in Moscow, ID; Plainview, TX; and Marshall, TX. More about her work is available online at www.bekawp.com.
