God has expanded Shechem Ministries, Inc to include Square Top Theatre. The professional theatre company is named for a well known peak near Pagosa Springs, Colorado — Square Top Mountain. Square Top is having its premier season this July in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Much Ado About Nothing

A lively showdown between the sexes unfolds in Shakespeare's farcical comedy. Beatrice, independent and forthright and Benedick, a self-confessed woman-hater, pass their time constantly goading and scorning each other. When they are thrown together to defend a friend and family's honor, their true feelings begin to be revealed. An innovative, theatrical interpretation with 6 actors, directed by Shane Fuller.

$100 Gummi Bears

$100 Gummi Bears is an introspective and quirky collection of vignettes about a boy; his mother; a Parkinson’s disease ravaged, ex-millionaire addict; and an eclectic collection of other unique, transient types. Junior high is a strange time, but for Chris it’s even stranger. Living for four years in “the penthouse,” Chris encounters the bizarre and disturbed while dealing with all his new teenage discoveries. Chris comes to terms with himself and his world by probing back into these formative and often illuminating events of his past. Suitable for mature audiences. Directed by Charlie Pepiton.

July 2007 Season Details

Shows will be performed every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in July at the Power House Youth Center in downtown Pagosa Springs, Colorado beginning July 5.

• The doors open for all evening performances at 6:30 with Green Shows featuring local bands entertaining the audience until the show begins at 7pm. Talk back discussions with the cast to follow $100 Gummi Bears on July 12, 13, 21 & 26.
• Ticket prices are $14 adults, $11.50 seniors and students, and $8 for children 12 yrs and under. The two Saturday matinees offer discounted tickets for $8 per person with a $30 price cap for families – immediate family members only.
